We have decided to open up the gates at CKS Gelbvieh and let you chose the animal you think is right for your herd. You will get to pick from 25 bred heifers that are bred to start calving on February 18th or 18 open heifers.
Most of the bred heifers were AI’d once and then all the heifers were pasture exposed to DCSF 51X8, a double black, double polled purebred son of Great Western out of a Post Rock Granite 200P2 daughter. We did not attempt to determine pregnancies between AI and pasture breeding.
Info on all the heifers can be found by downloading the following PDF file.
The AGA honored CKS Gelbvieh by announcing we had raised 21 Dam of Merit or Dam of Distinction females in 2011. Many of these heifers are out of these highly productive females and are sired by bulls that were hand picked from herds around the country.
Info on the sires of these heifers can be found by clicking on the “Reference Sires” button to the left.
Please call if you would like to view or talk about the heifers before sale day.
Thanks for your consideration, Chuck, Kay, Chad and Merinda Struthers |
